Last year during the launch of the ARTS ED NOW campaign I asked students to finish the statement "Today an art student, tomorrow...?" The responses were wonderful that I decided to take on this little project again this year. However, for students who I had last year we modified the statement a bit to include the years they have been in an art class. Some student responses are literal careers, others are in the moment and some simply describe their hopes and dreams for the future. We will create a display in the classroom with our responses to help remind us how valuable art is as part of our personal and educational foundation.
"The arts celebrate multiple perspectives. One of their large lessons is that there are many ways to see and interpret the world."
