This weekend I was reading the New York Times Arts Section and found this... The Museum of Modern Art in NYC (MOMA) is having a Rene Magritte exhibit. It is called Magritte: The Mystery of the Ordinary, 1926-1938. It just opened this weekend and it closes January 12, 2014. This show is collection of over 80 works and includes many of Magritte's images we just studied in our surrealism unit. What a great opportunity to study his work up close! His work is only here for a few months to be sure to pencil in some time to get to the MOMA.
"The arts celebrate multiple perspectives. One of their large lessons is that there are many ways to see and interpret the world."
