Let me introduce our guest blogger, Mary... She is an AP Art Drawing I student and she recently went to Portfolio Day in NYC.
National Portfolio Day was a great way to get constructive criticism and advice from some great colleges. There were hundreds and hundreds of people waiting to show their portfolios to some of the best art colleges around. While standing in line, you could see the other students’ portfolios which was a great way to see what other people were doing. There were some pretty outstanding portfolios, which were both creative and well done. The college representatives that I went to were extremely nice and gave me some great advice. It really seemed like they cared and gave their full attention to the students. It was nice to feel like I was not the only one who was so interested in art. At first I was pretty nervous to go, but it turned out to be a really great experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in art.
