Drawing & Painting I students are working on a their POP Art linoleum project. For some students this is their first time ever carving a linoleum block or trying any type of printmaking. It is always fun to watch as a student creates their first print and they realize they can make as many as they want. This is so different from creating a single pencil drawing and hoping it works out. For the project students are asked to create one good black and white print with excellent craftsmanship and a group of prints using a concept or idea. Students are using a planning sheet to work out the overall composition, color scheme and materials.
"The arts celebrate multiple perspectives. One of their large lessons is that there are many ways to see and interpret the world."
