Drawing & Painting I students just finished their marble still life drawings. Using colored pencils they were able to tackle the transparency and reflective qualities of the glass marbles. Using their knowledge of color they were able to mix and overlap colors to create these photorealistic drawings. Students also explored many different colored pencil techniques to recreate the textures and patterns they found. We also spent some time looking at the work of other photorealist painters who worked with reflections and texture. Check out the rest in our class on line galleries.
"The arts celebrate multiple perspectives. One of their large lessons is that there are many ways to see and interpret the world."
