Drawing & Painting II students are working to create these amazing button inspired trees. So often in Drawing & Painting we forget we can work in low-relief (raised off the surface slightly). We used buttons to create a layers, textural effect. After attaching them to the page we added contour lines to create the surface pattern for the tree. In the negative space students developed a pattern to represent leaves.
