Congratulations to Jocelyn, Nikki and Kimberly! They just had their artwork selected for the Art Educators of New Jersey Early Winter Exhibit at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. Their artwork is part of a 30 piece exhibit that is hung in the Victoria Theater Lobby displaying k-12 artwork from around the state. Over 6,000 visitors to NJPAC will see their artwork while it is on display.
They even used Jocelyn's artwork on the invite!
Special thanks to the members of AENJ who volunteer their time and energy to making opportunities available for our students.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards deadline is this month. If you plan on entering your work you need to upload your images and print out your forms. Remember I need to sign your forms before you can mail them. They should be mailed before the winter break to ensure that they are received on time and you do not miss out on this opportunity.
In class I have invited all of my students to participate in the this years Creative Awards competition from Ringling College of Art + Design. Identify a theme in the book the The Giver and create an illustration, story or photo the expresses that theme. Entry Deadline is February 15, 2015
