My Ap students have been working on a series of observational figure drawings. Each day two students taook turns modeling and using various poses. Each pose lasted about 10 minutes and students were encouraged to change their angles and view to achieve a variety of different drawings. Each student has about 20 drawings and they will use them to create a final piece with an emphasis on line weight and overlapping figures while paying careful attention to negative space, shape and focal point.
"The arts celebrate multiple perspectives. One of their large lessons is that there are many ways to see and interpret the world."
