Our first breadth assignment of the year is on display in the g-wing hallway. Students used a pair of shoes for inspiration and used mixed media to share the "story" of their shoes. Inspired by the pattern, textures and story of their shoes they used pencil, xerox transfer and water color to complete the finished pieces. On Monday we critiqued the finished work and look at how the key parts of the lesson like value, composition, media and concept. The critique was amazing! Working in pairs, everyone had such great insight and suggestions for one another. This was our first critique of the year and I know they were really nervous to talk about their art and share it with others. Great job!
"The arts celebrate multiple perspectives. One of their large lessons is that there are many ways to see and interpret the world."
